what to expect

  • we can’t wait to meet you! please arrive to the studio 10-15 minutes before class starts to allow time to get checked in. arriving less than 5 minutes before class starts will result in rescheduling your first class. a signed studio waiver is required to participate. wearing grip socks is required and we have some available for purchase before class, or feel free to bring your own.

  • we are located at 565 E Grand River Ave, Ste 100, East Lansing, MI 48823, next to Moka & Co and across the street from the MSU Broad Art Museum.

  • we offer complimentary 1 hour parking validation to the Bailey Street Lot, located directly behind the building. please ask your instructor for a validation slip after class. parking is $1 per half hour after the initial validated hour. insert the parking ticket, then the validation ticket when exiting the lot. parking is free before 8:00am and on weekends. Bailey Street Lot parking is not available on MSU home football game days.

  • returning clients, please arrive 5-10 minutes before class starts to check in at the front desk or from your phone, store your personal items, and find your reformer or mat without disrupting the previous class. please do not enter the studio until the class before you has finished their stretching. for your safety and for the experience of other class members, arriving later than 5 minutes after the class starts will result in a no-show penalty.

    first time clients are required to arrive at least 5 minutes before class starts.

  • for your safety and for the experience of other class members, arriving later than 5 minutes after the class starts will result in a no-show penalty for returning clients. for unlimited members, a $15 no-show fee will be applied to your account. for all other membership types, class packs and drop-ins, the class credit will be forfeited.

  • you may remove yourself from a class up to 24 hours before the class starts. cancelling within 24 hours or no-showing will result in a penalty. for unlimited members, a $15 fee will be applied to your account. for all other membership types, class packs and drop-ins, the class credit will be forfeited.

  • add yourself to the waitlist for a class only if you know you will be able attend within a two hour notice. you will automatically be added to the class when a spot becomes available and will be notified via email. we are unable to refund class credits or fees if you get into a class off a waitlist but late cancel or do not attend. we recommend removing yourself from the waitlist if you know you could no longer attend that class in short notice.

  • athletic wear and grip socks are required. grip socks are available for purchase in-studio before class. for your safety, please no hoods or hats and we recommend long hair be tied back. we may ask you to reschedule your reservation if clothing worn has buttons or zippers that could tear the equipment’s upholstery.

  • yes, for your safety and cleanliness of the studio, all class members are required to wear grip socks. grip socks are available for purchase in-studio prior to class.

  • we believe Pilates is for every body. if you’re under 18, or reserving a class for someone under 18, please contact hello@rechargedpilates.com for more information on attending classes.

  • only unlimited memberships have the ability to reserve a class for a friend. for all other membership and class package or credit holders, we encourage your friend to create their own account to reserve a spot in class.

  • it’s important to allow time for your body to rest between classes. for this reason, we do not allow more than one class reservation per day.

  • we recommend bringing a water bottle. mats, props and equipment are provided by the studio.

    please refrain from bringing energy drinks, coffee, etc. near the reformer or mat equipment and keeping those with your personal belongings.

  • please make sure you’ve fueled yourself properly prior to class. quick snacks are available for purchase in-studio before or after class. we encourage you to allow yourself extra time when traveling to the studio to account for Grand River Ave traffic, construction and train delays.

  • all classes are 50 minutes.

  • the schedule is a rolling booking window to the minute. for example, you can book a noon class at noon 7 or 14 days prior, depending on your credit package or membership.

  • please refrain from calls and texting during class, however, we allow and encourage filming yourself so you can watch back to see how strong you are. we ask that you be courteous to fellow members by avoiding posting to social media if others are in the video.

  • the only membership option that allows you to reserve mat and reformer classes is the unlimited membership. all other memberships are specific to mat or reformer. separate credit packages and memberships for mat and reformer can be active at the same time.

  • consistency is key to building a new habit. by committing to a three month membership, you are setting yourself up for success to reach your Pilates goals. after three months, the membership rolls month to month.

  • we love our pregnant clients, however, please contact the studio at hello@rechargedpilates.com before reserving a class to ensure you meet the studio’s requirements for group class participation.

  • yes, contact the studio here or contact an instructor directly for availability and pricing. individual and duet classes are coordinated via the instructor.

  • yes, we love to party. whether it’s a birthday, bachelorette, or team bonding, we would love to host you. contact us for scheduling and pricing here.

  • yes, we offer a 10% discount on classes for students, teachers, and staff/employees of educational institutions. just show a valid school or university ID at the front desk or email us to have the discount automatically added to your account for future purchases. this discount excludes special offers, such as the New Energy Intro Bundle.
